My Perspective of “Newcastle upon Tyne”

This is my perception of what Newcastle upon Tyne has to offer anyone who enters the city. Not just nature but also the people of Newcastle are welcoming and friendly. I found this to be the perfect place for an artist to grow and develop his/her creative side.

"Strong winds blow and hit the face of a young girl. The young girl is stepping into a new country and is walking towards her new life. It is her first time stepping into the world alone. She can feel the cool breeze, she can see the warm colours of nature and she can smell the welcoming warmth of this new city. She is scared. She is sceptical. She is lonely. She has never been alone. She is coming out of the protective blanket around her.

She decides to go for a walk and explore the new city. She goes by the river, the water reminds her of her own home far away from this new city. She needs to learn, grow and develop herself, she takes a calming breath and decides to have a drink. She grabs a cup of tea and sits by the river. The warm tea spreads warmth through her body and she relaxes. There are trees near the river, maple trees.

She finds her peace in nature, it’s the season of autumn, leaves are falling. There are maple trees all around her. A blanket of green, red and golden leaves surround her. She sees trees like never before, she is attracted by their shades. She is walking by collecting some leaves, she is impressed, she stops and takes a deep breath. Nature calms her stressed nerves. She sees all the shades of autumn in one single maple leaf.

She smiles she found her inspiration. She had been trying to find such inspiration since before she entered this new city. She finally found the one thing she had been looking for. She now was ready to face the world, she had a path, she had an idea, she had an inspiration. She now knew she had “nature”. Nature the one thing that followed her from her home to this new city. Nature the one thing that would never leave anyone, nature that was a centre of art."
